Channel 4

Boomerang has been commissioned by Channel 4 to produce three IPC events following GB’s Paralympians as they prepare for Rio 2016.

This July, Boomerang will deliver Channel 4’s coverage of the Anniversary Games 2016. Coming live from the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Stadium, London, on 23rd July, More 4 will screen 2.5 hours of coverage. The following day, a highlights show will be transmitted on Channel 4. Presenting, commentating and providing expert analysis throughout the Games will be Sophie Morgan and JJ Chalmers with Iwan Thomas, Stef Reid, Danny Crates, Katharine Merry, John Rawling and Rob Walker.

This latest commission marks the third IPC event Boomerang is producing for the broadcaster this year, following on from the IPC Swimming European Open Championships from Madeira in May and the IPC Athletics European Championships in Italy in June.

Matt Pritchard, Managing Director, Boomerang, said: “We are delighted to be working with Channel 4 again in the run up to Rio 2016, building on our projects before and after London 2012, as well as last year’s coverage of the IPC Athletics World Championships in Doha.”

The commissioning editor is Stephen Lyle. The shows are executive produced by Dylan Wyn Davies and the Head of Production is Wiliam Gruffydd Edwards.
